Microsoft Corp and OpenAI, two companies, will invest in improving the role of AI in the world and how to build a secured, trustworthy, and ethical AI technology to serve the public. They have partnered to further extend the Microsoft Azure capabilities in large scale AI systems, through the AI partnership. The companies will be able to extend their added benefits accelerating the breakthroughs using the AI and power OpenAI’s effort to create Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) that resulted in enhancement along with Azure platform will also assist the developers in building the next generation of AI applications.
The partnership will cover the following points
1. OpenAI and Microsoft will jointly build new Azure AI supercomputing technologies.
2. OpenAI will port its services to run on Microsoft Azure that will be used to create new AI technologies and deliver the required, artificial general intelligence.
3. Microsoft will become OpenAI’s preferred partner for commercializing the new AI technologies.
The companies will be focusing on building a computational platform in Azure by developing it to a completely different level. It will train and run on the increasing advanced AI models including hardware technologies that build on Microsoft’s supercomputing technology and adhere to the two companies shared principles on ethics and trust. The new advanced technology is the foundation for advancements in AI to be implemented in a safe, secured, and trustworthy way that is a critical reason the companies have chosen to partner together. Over certain time innovative applications of deep neural networks that have been coupled with increasing computational power that has provided the continuous AI breakthrough in the areas such as vision, speech, language processing, robotic control, and even gaming. OpenAI and Microsoft vision is for artificial general intelligence to work with people that assist them in solving the current intractable multidisciplinary problem, including many of the global climate changes more personalized healthcare and education.
