Global edge cloud service provider Zenlayer on May 13, 2021, announced the closing of its USD 50 million Series C round. The company also mentioned that it would allocate new funds to enhance the edge cloud technology and expand global network coverage.

The group led the round, including Prospect Avenue Capital and Anatole Investment, plus the existing investor Volcanics Venture. More investors in the list include F and amp;G Venture, NSFOCUS, and Forebright Capital. They all came together to bring the total financing to USD 90 million, as mentioned by the company in one of its statements.

“I am excited to announce that we have successfully raised $50 million in Series C,” said Joe Zhu, Founder and CEO, Zenlayer.

“We’ll accelerate the development and adoption of our PaaS (platform as a service) solutions, and continue to focus on emerging markets, helping our customers to capture the explosive growth of regions like Southeast Asia and South America,” Zhu added.

The unique cloud offerings of Zenlayer enable organizations to deploy and compute closer to end-users. It also helps in accelerating networks to deliver the best digital experience possible. It also claimed that it could help organizations reach over 85% of the world’s population in just 25 milliseconds.
