Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and IBM announced the expansion of their global alliance with the establishment of IBM Enterprise Cloud Architecture Unit to help customers on their digital transformation journey.

This newly established unit (IBM Enterprise Cloud Architecture) would include technical professionals from both companies. It is an addition to the existing IBM digital experience center that will help in solving complex business problems.

The companies also mentioned in a statement that IBM and TCS plan to co-develop solutions designed to help clients for workload migration across analytics, data estate, applications, and platforms using IBM Cloud Paks and enterprise-ready containerized software solutions running on Red Hat OpenShift.

Several Indian IT firms, including Infosys Ltd., Wipro Ltd., and TCS, have been strengthening the cloud offerings by collaborating with global platform providers. Some of the famous global platform providers are Google Cloud, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and cloud platforms experts.

“We are investing in our alliance with IBM to co-create accelerators and other assets to further enhance the speed to market of our customers’ modernization initiatives and drive their transformation to become cognitive-ready enterprises leveraging the new IBM public cloud ecosystem,” explained Raman Venkatraman, Global Head, HiTech and amp; Professional Services Industry Unit, TCS.

“TCS has been partnering with leading corporations in their growth and transformation journeys, helping them accelerate their application modernization and cloud migration initiatives with its Machine First approach. The outcome is a robust, flexible and future-ready digital core that enhances the enterprise’s resilience and adaptability,” he added.

This alliance would seem to be a sum of TCS’ IT consulting and IBM’s cloud platform resulting in improved customer’s journey toward the cloud.
