Snowflake, the Data Cloud Company, announced that it had been selected by the market’s greatest linking platform, Linktree, to assist its business intelligence and analytics activities.

Linktree allows brands, artists, publishers, agencies, creators, and businesses of all sizes to curate an online ecosystem and monetize their passion, immediately guiding their audience to the destination they wish to go to.

It holds about 90% of the market share, and the platform is used by Selena Gomez, Red Bull, Metallica, the Los Angeles Clippers, Facebook, Jessica Alba, HBO, and Comedy Central.

In 2020, Xavier said it became clear to senior management that the database being used by the company was no longer up to the task. Linktree realized the need for a scalable and sophisticated data platform to support growth in the future times.

Linktree began by using Snowflake to become support for its business intelligence activities. They rubbed usage data for trends to ensure that strategic decisions are based on the exact picture that appears within the market.

Also, Xavier said that the next step was to use Snowflake as a supporting platform for a self-service BI (business intelligence) offering to use internal stakeholders. Instead of relying on the analytics team, internal stakeholders will create queries and get their reports automated.

Xavier mentioned that new self-service capabilities allow other parts of the business to make better use of the data.
