Broadcom will shift the suite of Symantec and enterprise operations software, including CA, to Google Cloud.
Talking about the strategic collaboration, Broadcom said the amalgamation with Google Cloud would strengthen its “cloud services integration” throughout the lines of operations, security, and DevOps applications.
The semiconductor and infrastructure software solutions company Broadcom said it had migrated the Symantec Web Security Service and Cloud Access Security Broker onto Google Cloud already. And it has further plans to move other cybersecurity applications too onto the platform. Broadcom iterated that the move modernized the security stack and improved service delivery.
As per Broadcom, Google Cloud’s infrastructure helps in infrastructural development, cuts down the latency, and scales very easily. Additionally, it helps in the diversification of public Internet options. On the other side, it is a win-win situation for Google Cloud as it has landed a big SaaS player like Broadcom.
With the partnership, Broadcom will utilize Google Cloud’s analytics tools, including Cloud SQL, Bigtable, and Dataproc.
The move to Google Cloud by Broadcom started with its security software, and the company’s business management, testing, DevOps, AIOps, and agile applications will also migrate along with it.
