Open networking software startup Aviz Networks Inc. has secured an additional USD 10 million in its latest funding round, with a contribution from Cisco Investments LLC. This funding aims to boost customer traction for Aviz Networks’ multivendor generative artificial intelligence-based networking stack and enhance the adoption of the SONiC open-source network operating system.

Established in 2019, Aviz Networks specializes in open, cloud, and AI-centric network solutions. The company facilitates the implementation of SONiC (Software for Open Networking in the Cloud) in data center edge networks. SONiC is an open-source network operating system tailored for cloud and data center environments. Its primary purpose is to offer a flexible and scalable solution for managing and automating networks in these settings.

The company provides applications and APIs for network observability, orchestration, and assurance that are compatible with various switch platforms. Additionally, Aviz offers disaggregated support for deploying SONiC in data centers and edge networks with multiple vendors.
