Cloud Security is regarded as one of the top concerns for all cloud customers. Amazons Cloud Technology conference at Las Vegas introduced many security features for the customers. At the re:Invent 2018, the company talked about leveraging the current technology and future infrastructural development that can challenge the security threats.

The AWS security hub is the new dashboard that would allow the customers to see a snapshot of the security posture. It will also help the user to manage security using the Third party security software as well as AWS security software GuardDuty. However, the number of security companies is restricted to partnered firms like Symantec and F5 Networks. The AWS Security Hub would help in managing a large number of security notifications, it would help in the better organization of information that is easier to handle.

Centralization of security is not a new concept. Using Security Hub the user can access the security notifications based on the priority. The Chief Information Security Officer for AWS Stephen Schmidt added during the conference that “We are building the maps of customer systems, analyze the security of the system. Using this tool the user can be free of micromanagement as the security hub would act as a Traffic signal. This would help security teams to prioritize their work”.
