Adobe and Microsoft are reaching new levels on their years-long partnership by reaching out for productivity integrations around Adobe Document Cloud and Microsoft Teams.
The new integration is the availability of Adobe Sign in the new Microsoft Teams Approvals app. It is a live e-signature tool for Teams and a Teams integration with Adobe. Adobe’s e-signature service has been Microsoft’s “preferred” online signature offering since 2017.
Both Adobe and Microsoft have continued to expand on the partnership with cross-cloud integrations while focusing on native e-signature and approval services.
Adobe Sign is allocated as the first e-signature solution available in the Approvals app. And considering the need for e-signature, companies are rolling out a live signature tool for the Microsoft Teams app.
“While this is an important milestone in our work together, we’re not stopping here,” Adobe said in a blog post. “You can expect to see more work between us and Microsoft not only across Adobe Document Cloud, but also other Adobe solutions.”
As the live sign feature exists in Microsoft Teams, users can host an agreement for signature in video meetings. The Adobe Sign message feature allows hosts to conduct the video meeting and ask the signer to view and sign the agreement over the chat.
Microsoft Teams will also see the integration of Adobe Acrobat within the application, giving users the ability to sign documents, put comments, and annotate PDFs stored in OneDrive, Teams, and SharePoint. Such actions can be performed without leaving the Teams Application with words captured into a single PDF saved for editing later.
